Feather and Shore was created in 2022 by Charlotte Gerrard and Emma Reynolds.

They came together through a shared passion for exploring the natural world through their creative practices.

Charlottes work is vibrant and punchy and takes no prisoners on colour. Her time in India is clearly reflected in her palette and subject choices. However behind the vibrancy lies a more poignant message. Her paintings of animals are heartfelt and sincere and she uses them as a vehicle to convey her passion for the importance of preserving their environment.

Charlotte has had over 20 year’s experience of selling and marketing her own artwork.

Emma’s highly respected and extremely unique work evolved out of a love for the countryside from the vast shores and huge tidal beaches to a longstanding appreciation of the company of the sky whether it being in the heart of a city, or the middle of the countryside. Being more careful about travel options and avoiding flying as much as possible, Emma makes work that promotes the beauty of what is close to home and that is mostly found in the UK.

Emma worked as an Art Director for 20 years before turning back to her first love of art.

When Charlotte and Emma came together it was clear that they a shared vision and the decision to set up Feather and Shore was a natural progression of this.

‘We are really excited about developing the gallery and working alongside artists that share our langauge of art rooted in nature.’
