Kath Edwards

Kaths’ paintings are built up with loose layers of mark making, pattern and texture - created with a variety of tools and inspired by whatever catches her eye or captures her imagination. These unrestrained layers then give way to a more considered approach as she work towards completing the artwork.

She interested in colours, patterns and textures created by the weathering of materials; her painting is particularly influenced by the decoration and deterioration of walls and painted surfaces.

Kath primarily use acrylic paint on MDF or wood panels.

She also uses photography, illustration and collage to create limited edition screen prints. All prints are designed and hand-printed by Kath, using non-toxic, water-based inks on high quality watercolour paper.
